Notre Dame grabs kicker Nick Tausch

 

Nick Tausch committed to play for the Fighting Irish on Tuesday shortly after receiving a scholarship offer, according to the Dallas Morning News.

He said of the decision, "It's just a great honor to become part of the Irish."

Last season, Tausch made 15 of 16 extra point attempts, five of nine field goal tries and 16 of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
Additionally, he's the son for former NFL guard Terry Tausch, who played for Minnesota and San Francisco from 1982-'89.
Nick responded to the size difference, "My brother (Eric, a guard for Jesuit) got my dad's genes. A lot of people say I look like my mom."
